Dashboard for Requirements


The Dashboard gives you a visual overview of your Requirements, helping you quickly monitor progress, spot trends, and understand key statistics based on your selected filters.


This can be found via Sourcing Requirements – you can then select the tab labelled Dashboards


Using the Dashboard

  1. Open the Dashboard
    Go to Sourcing > Requirements and then click the Dashboard tab.
  2. Apply Filters
    Use the filters at the top to control which Requirements feed into the dashboard. (Remember to click Filter
    • All charts update instantly once you’ve filtered
    • You can also click the coloured keys in the relevant chart legends to hide or show specific data.
  3. Download Charts
    • Download each chart individually.
    • Or click Download all as PDF to save the full dashboard.


Available Charts

1. Requirements by Classification (Pie Chart)

Shows the number of Requirements for each classification: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, None.

  • Each slice shows the classification name and number of Requirements.

2. Requirements by Stage (Pie Chart)

Displays Requirements at each stage (e.g. Research, Tender, Award).

  • Each slice shows the Stage and number of Requirements.

3. Requirements by Authorisation Status (Pie Chart)

Shows Requirements that are Authorised or Awaiting Authorisation.

4. Requirements by Threshold (Bar Chart)

  • X-axis: Threshold name & value (£)
  • Y-axis: Number of Requirements
  • Thresholds are grouped by Output and Regulations

5. Contract End / Extended Date (Monthly) (Bar Chart)

Displays the number of Requirements ending (or extended to) each month.

  • Planning = Research & Define stages
  • Tendering = Tender, Evaluate, Negotiate stages
  • Contract Management = Award, Live stages

6. Contract End / Extended Date (Yearly) (Bar Chart)

Same as above but grouped by year instead of month.

7. Contract Value vs Expenditure by Stage (Bar Chart)

  • X-axis: Requirement Stage
  • Y-axis: Contract Value
  • Each bar shows: Value, Total Expenditure, Total Paid Invoices.

8. Expenditure by Requirement Threshold (Bar Chart)

  • X-axis: Monetary value (£)
  • Y-axis: Thresholds
  • Grouped by Threshold, with each bar showing Value, Total Expenditure (ex. VAT), and Total Paid Invoices (ex. VAT).
  • Displays Output and Regulation details under each threshold.

9. Threshold vs Lowest or Actual Value (Bar Chart)

Shows if Requirement Values are within or exceed the threshold

  • X-axis: Threshold
  • Y-axis: Number of Requirements
  • Two bars for each threshold to show where Value Exceeds Threshold or Within Threshold

10. Threshold vs Spend Limit Total (Bar Chart)

Shows if Spend Limit Totals are within or exceed the threshold.

  • X-axis: Threshold
  • Y-axis: Number of Requirements
  • Two bars for each threshold to show where Spend Limit Total Exceeds Threshold or Within Threshold
  • If no Spend Limits exist, displays: N/A – No Spend Limits set for selected Requirements.

11. Threshold vs Total Paid Invoices (Bar Chart)

Compares Total Paid Invoices (ex. VAT) to threshold values.

  • X-axis: Threshold
  • Y-axis: Number of Requirements
  • Two bars for each threshold to show where the Total Paid Invoices exceeds Threshold or Within Threshold
  • If no invoices exist, displays: N/A – No Paid Invoices recorded against selected Requirements.

12. Threshold vs Total Expenditure (Bar Chart)

Compares Total Expenditure (ex. VAT) to threshold values.

  • X-axis: Threshold
  • Y-axis: Number of Requirements
  • Two bars for each threshold to show where the Total Expenditure exceeds Threshold or Within Threshold
  • If no expenditure exists, displays: N/A – No Expenditure recorded against selected Requirements.

Tip: The more specific your filters the more targeted your dashboard insights will be.
