Buyer API Token/ Key

Modified on Tue, 28 Jan at 12:56 PM

As part of the New Procurement 2023, all Contracting Authorities will need to register on the Central Digital Platform (CDP). Once registered, users will be able to obtain a Buyer API Token/ Key from CDP.

Ahead of the New Procurement Act 2023 coming into effect on the 24th February 2025, we strongly urge all Contracting Authorities to register on the CDP ahead of this date, and know how to obtain their Buyer API token/key from CDP. This will need to be added to Panacea by the Go-Live date.

This Key will need to be added to your Panacea Portal, as this Key is what authorises Panacea to:

  • Allow you to publish Notices through the portal
  • Request Supplier Information when a Supplier provides their Share Code

How to add your Buyer API Token/ Key to Panacea:

  • Via Sourcing > Settings > Buyer Api Token
  • Select the organisation on Panacea and provide the Token Key.
    • You will be able to see who added the token.
  • If you will be needing to publish Notices/conduct Procurement exercises as different Buying Authorities, you can also do this
    • Please note, if multiple Buyer API Token/Keys are added, within each Requirement you will need to specify which Buying Authority is to be used so that the right Buyer is used for authentication. This can be done when you edit a Requirements details.
Important: You will not be able to publish the new Notices without providing us with the Buyer API Token/Key. Panacea will also not be able to have the Supplier Information shared through the Supplier Code without it, as it must always be requested through the Buying Authority.
