What are Data Slots?
Data Slots are multipurpose fields of data that are held at organisation level against Suppliers. They can be used to:
- Store Data against an organisation that is only viewed internally and is not visible to suppliers.
- Contacts > Organisation > [Organisation Page] > "Data Slots" tab.
- Store Data against an organisation which can be viewed & filled in by Supplier.
- They can access this via Supplier Interface > Organisation Data Slots.
- Store & Save data against an organisation by a Key User, that is also used across multiple Questionnaires that should also be made visible to suppliers outside of a Questionnaire.
- Outside of a Questionnaire, this can be found via Supplier Interface > Organisation Data Slots.
- Store & Save data that is used across multiple Questionnaires that should only be used / made visible in a Questionnaire.
- Seen only within a Questionnaire.
For Key Users, unless the data slot is only available in a Questionnaire, the data slot for Supplier Organisations can be viewed via the Organisation Page > "Data Slots" tab.
Access to this tab can be granted as follows:
- View the data only.
- View & edit the data.
- No access to the data.
Link with Questionnaires
- Using data slot allows Key Users to set up commonly-asked questions, which when used in Questionnaires, saves the supplier from having to manually populate that each time.
- This helps save time & resources for suppliers when filling in such Questionnaires, as the answer they have provided previously will be pre-populated in the data slot.
