What are Nudges?


Nudges enable Project Managers to raise questions and requests to either Suppliers or Clients and for them to respond and raise questions back to Project Managers. A Nudge respondent can reply with either 'Yes' or ‘No’, provide notes and attach documents that are viewable to both parties. 


Why use them?


Nudges are used to keep users inside Panacea Software and to reduce the amount of communication outside the software. Nudges also provide users with an automated audit trail for all their work.


Who can send and receive a Nudge?


Key Users, Clients and Suppliers can all send and receive Nudges however, Clients and Suppliers are unable to send Nudges to each other.


How do I get notification of a Nudge?


When you receive a Nudge you will get an immediate in-app notification (bell icon at top-right). Nudges rely heavily on notifications - it is highly recommend that they are enabled for all Project Managers, Suppliers and Clients. If notifications are not enabled for users, then they will not be able to send or receive Nudges.


Can I keep my notifications off and still receive a Nudge when am on the software?  


If you are not logged in, you can enable a setting that allows an email to be sent to the recipient when a Nudge is received. Alternatively you can be prompted of your Nudges within the Daily Digest email. If you would not like to receive a prompt, you can change your notification settings (bell at the top-right).


Do all Nudges have to be yes/no questions? 


You can use the thumbs up or thumbs down icon as a quick way to answer yes/no to a question.  You can also provide notes and include attachments that are viewable to both parties.


Are Nudges always job specific? 


No, Key Users and Clients can also raise general Nudges from the Nudge> View screen, whilst suppliers can only raise job-specific Nudges.


Can I store my Nudges to have access to them in the future?


Nudges are stored forever so you can go back and retrieve old ones. You can view all of your Nudges by clicking on the left main menu where they are all stored, Nudge > Manage. You can retrieve your previous Nudges by filing them in the relevant job in the 'Documents' tab - you can pin any type of Nudge with or without an attachment. This is useful for flagging important documents (approvals, briefs etc.) 


Can I send a Nudge about a job where another user is Project Manager?


Key users can send a Nudge on any job on another key user’s behalf.


If a Supplier can only send job specific Nudges, how do they do this?


Suppliers can raise a Nudge to Project Managers only for job/costs allocated to that Supplier using the Nudge button which appears in the icon bar when they are viewing a specific job the following screens:

  • Delivery Confirmation

  • Provisional Enquiries

  • Quote Requests

They can also raise a Nudge within the Live Orders screen by selecting the Nudge button next to the specific job.


Is the Nudge module free or is there a cost involved? 


Nudge is free and was released on 2nd November 2020.
